Kitty needs a home

My daughter is fostering this kitty in St Louis, where she is a college student, and she is trying very hard to find him a home. He was a stray that somehow lost his family, not feral.  She has been posting with St Louis rescue and pet finder agencies and put up signs, etc. and continues to explore options to adopt him out there.  She will be coming home in late May and is willing to bring him here if someone is definitely interested.  I can relay messages.  Here is her description:

He is an incredibly sweet cat, although he is scared around other animals and would do best in a home without other pets. He would not do well in a shelter, and I have not found a rescue that can take him.

Health Info:  He has been to the vet, is neutered, had all his vaccines, and is FIV/FeLeuk/heartworm negative. He is approximately five years old and, other than being a little skinny from being on the street, is in good health. He uses the litterbox with no problems and is eating well!

And I see by his photos he loves long leisurely baths in the sink!

If you are in Maplewood, you could eventually bring him to St. Hubert's if you have no luck finding him a home up here. I'd be happy to post him on my Petfinder site or she could bring him to  Saturday adoption events at Petco in West Orange. Adults do take some time but red cats are quite popular. Just a couple of options. If you are in South Orange, unfortunately there is no place to take cats. The town has no plan for them. We are hoping they will contract with St. Hubert's but the VP and the BOT are resistant.

Thanks. We are in Maplewood.  She will be here to visit a couple of times this summer, but not moving back, so I think she would only bring him if we were fairly sure of a new adoptive home.  But I suppose that if she isn't successful there, that could change.
