Ivanka Trump's Tone Deaf Tweet on Libraries

huffingtonpost.com:  Ivanka Trump Gets Trolled by Librarians after Tone Deaf Tweet

And you know what? She couldn't give a damn.

You know I almost feel for her. Almost. Prior to this debacle of a Presidency, she and her husband were, probably still are, card carrying Democrats who fund raised and openly supported many causes with liberal leaning views and for the Democratic Party. But now they're faced with the choice to align themselves with Daddy or be against the family. What was she going to do? Disown her dad? Go against the family? Again, I want to feel sorry for her, i can't quite get all the way there, but I can appreciate she's in a heck of a position. Would I turn on my parents for their wacky views? I don't know.

If I needed to do so to save the country and the world from irreparable harm and/or destruction, I sure would. And it's not like she needs to be concerned about her children being destitute if she is "cut out of the will".

Maybe that's it. She's not a true public servant. She was drafted, and she's doing her time quietly.

Patti Davis and Ron Reagan Jr. were not afraid to disagree publicly with their parents.  And they weren't disowned.

I don't feel sorry for her one bit.  Either she actually agrees with her father's politics.  Or she doesn't, and is pretending to in exchange for money and/or power.  If it's the latter, there's a word for people like that.

Ivanka and Jared are very wealthy in their own right.  And Jared still has his family business.

They could have easily cut ties with Donald if they had the guts to do it.

No excuses for Ivanka.  She's a YUGE phony.

Hey I agree, I always start to feel for her but can't go all the way, because I know she has options. Unlike the millions of women she pupports to represent. With her father's proposed tax bill, I will pay more taxes as a single parent, filing as head of household. Anyway, with any luck he will be impeached and they will go back to what they were doing before.

They care about the Trump brand. I read that the reason Bannon is being squeezed out is that Ivanka, Donny Jr., and Eric think Bannon is tainting the brand. Which got me thinking: The way to hasten his resignation is to organize heavily against his brand. Anti-Trump brand commercials, questioning how he became successful, linking the terrible results of his presidency with the brand. It will drive them crazy. More so than any protests about policy.

Dang, you just might have something there!

I guess you forgot all his years as a truther. They haven't been Dems, if they ever really were, for quite some time.

And there was his lovely persecution of the Central Park young men falsely accused of rape.

He has been a horrible person for a long time. Ivanka, I'm sure, knew full well of his horribleness when she married him.

So, Ivanka deserves no freaking sympathy whatsoever. None of his family does. They're all horrible people, because they choose to live with and morally support  (and sponge off of) an even more horrible person.

A pox upon them.

Within NYC Trump is roundly disliked.  If only the rest of the fools in rural America could have known what New Yorkers knew before the election.
