ISO of vet

For a cat. Recs appreciated!

Mark Levine in SO. I know he's good for dogs. Probably good for cats.

What does ISO mean, other than International Standards Organization?

love Valley Vet! Have cats and been going to them for 10+ years

I'm with @joy, Valley Vet, and I'm a rescue so I'm there frequently.

Third for Dr. Levine. He treated our cats for many, many years.

our cats and dogs go to Mark Levine.

Have gone to Valley Vet with all our cats for 20+ years.

Dr Levine and So Orange Animal Hospital are the best. Cat people think he favors cats, Dog, people canines..Whichever animal you have he will treat him/her with love and kindness.

I do not mean to be the killjoy but after two experiences-  one not great, one bad -  I switched vets from Dr. Levine to Westfield Vet and am quite satisfied.  While a drive to Westfield is longer than anything local, the care is first rate and they have both Sat and Sun hours.   They are also opened 24/7 for emergencies and that is very useful since they will have your pets records and history.  (Using the emergency care center in Fairfield, which is outrageously expensive, was part of my problems with Dr. Levine).  And at least once, my sick cat could be seen at a regular visit quickly scheduled for Sunday, which saved an emergency room visit.

The doctors are competent and friendly.  I don't see only one regularly since I still have younger, healthy cats.   The offices clean and well staffed.  They have a large parking lot and easy access from Rte 22 or just using local roads.

We are also are fans of Dr.Levine.  We also like Dr.Chang at his office though not sure if she's still there.  Anyone see her there recently?

In my years of visiting this board, don't think I've ever seen anyone suggest Dr. Rogers in Maplewood.  Any recommendations/feedback there?  He's based right on Springfield Ave at Maplewood Animal Hospital.

We've been bringing our cats to Dr. Rogers for 11 years. He's been great and I find the the walk-in hours  really convenient. He's the only one in the practice so that has it's pluses and minuses, and I think his rates are very fair. He seems to be very focused in  keeping up with the latest science of the field which is nice.

We've used Dr. Rogers for many years.  We've always been happy with him.  He spends a lot of time with the dog on each visit.

we've been using Levine for 18 years. Never had a problem. He's very friendly. Dr Knight there is intense, but she seems to be very good.

Rogers used to work with the animal shelter in Newark which killed animals, I forget its name, the one that took care of our strays for a short while.  That one.

Associated Humane Society. Hey @Copihue. Now we are in a struggle to get South Orange to go with St. Hubert's. Three years of trying to get them to do the right thing. The issue will be revisited at the next Town Hall on Monday August 7. Currently there is no place to take either stray or surrendered cats. Dogs go to that garage in Livingston with the NJDOH keeps telling them, is not in compliance. I hope people who care show up. Want to make a cameo appearance LOL

For all pets. It is a hike but have never been disappointed.

I've used Oradell for years for anything serious. There is a particular vet that I like. Dr. DeSantos.

Willowbrook Animal Hospital if you don't mind the drive. We followed our vet there. Both vets on staff are amazing. One also works out of AERC in fairfield.
