How tell which iPad I have?

I don't recall which kind of iPads I have but I'd like to know as part of my research into possibly updating them.  Can anyone help?  I have the boxes if that helps.

When you're talking multiples, I recommend a visit to the Apple Store at Short Hills.  Bring all devices. There's so many upgrades and features, why limit yourself? They're kind and knowledgeable and helpful, it will make for a very pleasant day at the mall.

On their laptops, there is an Apple icon at the upper left of the screen, and tapping that leads to "About this Mac," which describes the version and features. Perhaps the iPad has something similar.

Tap Settings icon.

First selection is "About." Note if you bought your iPad in Canada this will say "About" but is pronounced "Aboot".

11th selection is "Model". You'll have to Google the model number that appears. If course you can't select this text and copy it and paste it into a search engine window.
