Hot and Sunny in Jan - Where to go?

On a budget.  Preferably near a spa.  I've been looking at Airbnb options, off-the-beaten-path spots within driving distance to mineral bath type spas.   Phoenix seems to be a possible option, but high temp in Jan seems only around 67 degrees.   I've never planned a Jan vacation before so all suggestions welcome.  Thanks!

The way things have been going, odds are you could stay right here in MAPSO. Enjoy the cherry blossoms.

Southern Caribbean is lovely in January - like Barbados, Aruba, etc. You may find some decent flights if you travel after the holidays.

Look at Norwegian Air - they've been having some incredibly good deals to Martinique and Guadeloupe if you can fly mid-week.

Aruba and Hawaii are consistently nice weather wise year round.

Barbados. Jamaica. After the holidays flights and all inclusive deals are pretty reasonable. I've often found then cheaper than traveling domestically when all was said and done.

Many thanks all. Much appreciated. I've started researching all of these.

Jamaica air prices have been high over the past year or two. JetBlue has had some amazing prices to Barbados lately (under $300 rt).

True and closer too than the West Coast. Exception is maybe FL where flights are still very cheap but you'd have to stay very far south and it may not be hot, hot.

Find a way to come here! You can stay here/nearby, and (provided the mosquitoes and cyclones behave) we can show you around!  smile

'For instance' of stuff to do (loads of gourmet organic/vegan options too!)

joanne -- I will put it on the list - thank you!  I doubt I will have enough time in January, but I will file this away for when I have more time and money to spend.  Very much appreciated.

{I'm sure @marksierra and mrsmarksierra would enjoy hosting you around their part of our nation - not all of it scary or dangerous! Maybe not staying at their place, but they know loads great places to visit and things to do}

I highly recommend Hawaii -  we used airbnb in Maui - the airfare can be very affordable that time of year.

Sign up for Norwegian Air alerts.   Norwegian.com.     Last year, in January and February they had tickets from JFK to Martinique - $49 there and $99 back.   Baggage was extra.   We flew round trip for 2 people with one large suitcase and two small carry - ons for $335 TOTAL for TWO.

We stayed at this airbnb.   It was right on one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island.  The other best snorkeling beach was right next door, a 5 minute walk/hike. We stayed in one of the bungalows.
