It's a good idea BUT... the only rule is that they not disturb their elderly neighbors or be a nuisance? I find this hard to believe.

It would be for SHU to partner with a nursing home facility (large one in West Orange) - no government intervention required.

Yeah, there isn't a nursing home in South Orange. Even if there were, it would probably have nothing to do with the town, most are private right?

yes, most are private. European and Scandinavian countries have been ahead of the curve on how they deal with seniors who are in nursing homes.

What is the apartment building across from Grove Park, next to the Police Station? I thought that was senior housing of some sort, not necessarily a nursing home. I just thought it was a neat idea, almost like instant grandparents/grandchildren. Sort of like assisted living for the seniors but with built-in grandkids.

That's a HUD-subsidized building. You can't live there unless you're elderly or disabled.
