Yeah I was kind of shocked to see her representing him. Although, I watched a clip last night that she was not representing him as much as she was "tutoring" him. Whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. She does have an open practice so she has no issue as far as that goes. But it just seems odd for her to be on the other side of the issue this time.
Her dinosaur comment could be said for a lot of the people she fought against, but I guess when you are Harvey Weinstein an exception can be made. When you have power, money, and political friends the rules don't apply.
She resigned. I guess she realized that now that he is suspended he can no longer be of help with her movie.
That would make sense. Unfortunately for her I think her reputation has taken a hit as it should have.
We, or at least I kind of saw her as above being bought off, a real defender of sexually abused women. But after watching her excuse his behavior because she had a movie deal makes think less of her.
So she only resigned because of the book conflict and not because he's morally bankrupt? Interesting.
Yes, yes he was. Watching AMJoy panel and they hit it spot on. Some media and some of the GOP are making this into a political issue when it is not. So what if he gave to the Dems? The important issue is not donation money but him sexually assaulting women over a very long period of time, many whom are Republican and Democrat -- and not being punished for it. What is punishment for men like Harvey sans some bad press and humiliation?

Was he not morally bankrupt when she signed on to "tutor" him?
I think the political part is that he has been doing this for quite a while and it wasn't a secret (the settlements had non- disclosures, but the accusations were known). Yet the Dems accepted money which gave him his power. Which had many of women scared to confront him. Now I hope they all come out and he gets what he deserves.
If it is not political then why are the Dems rushing to give away what he donated to them? If they had no idea at the time of his donations than in my opinion they did nothing wrong and shouldn't be giving his donations away.
Phase 2 of the story will be looking at the receivers of his largess and seeing what they knew and when they knew it, and even more importantly, if ol Bob got anything for his money. Anyone who so much as broached the subject of Weinstein & Co in an official capacity is going to get smashed.
And so they flee, oh how they flee. Open secrets to everyone but them, don’t you know. Shocked, shocked by these allegations. They only took the money to fight The War Against Women! It was all for the greater good! It always is. Can’t you people see that?

This is a great issue for Republicans because, for once, they don't face even the shadow of hypocrisy. The GOP establishment's public embrace of an unapologetic sexual predator over the last year has thoroughly inoculated them against that charge.

Yeh right. You may be a great actress but you can not convincingly pull off this piece of BS:
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/meryl-streep-harvey-weinstein_us_59db5d87e4b072637c45420e
She is shocked, SHOCKED!!!
Come on, it's been obvious for a long time that this guy is a sleazebag. The only thing that surprises me is how long it took for this to hit the public domain.

So with a straight face you're saying that sexual assault is only wrong if a Democrat does it???
That's just wrong and you know it...

Exactly.
Reportedly Saturday Night Live had a number of jokes and 2 bits on Mr. Weinstein but Lorne Michaels said "No".
If that is true it is interesting for a program that claims to pull no punches.

I think a lot of Hollywood players owe their careers to Harvey Weinstein. They’re not going to go there.
Lorne Michaels did famously essentially fire Norm MacDonald for making jokes about OJ who was a friend of Michels'
I guess that passed. OJ was pretty ripped on last Saturday's episode.
I find it very hard to believe that none of these people he worked with had no inkling who and what he was. Even if thynpersonally were not harassed or assaulted, he had to come off as a disgusting pig for sure.
Maybe it’s just me, but this guy has always just looked like a lecherous old man.

According to what I read, Lorne Michaels opined that this was a "New York story," not a national one so it didn't have a place on SNL.

So another powerful man enjoys hunting, pressuring, humiliating and assaulting women in his employ, or whom wish to be employed by him, for his own gratification. He's seeking therapy and trying to make himself a "better person." There are millions of men walking the globe who do not grope women and do not sexually threaten women. Why it's so difficult for him to do the same is questionable.
And Lisa Bloom is his attorney. The same feminist Lisa Bloom who protects women from revenge porn and sexual harassment. She said of Weinstein, he was 'an old dinosaur learning new ways.' And these new ways would be what? To keep your damned hands, nakedness and penis to yourself? I'm floored by this statement.
