Friday morning messy commute alert

Friday morning messy commute alert.

There is a chance of an inch or so of snow Thursday night, ending early Friday morning, which might have an impact on Friday morning's commute.

Very unlikely that this will change over to sleet or rain, should be all snow.

Forecast is still evolving, but the main take away at this time is still the significant possibility of an inch or so of snow before and during rush hour Friday morning.

Forecast still on track for an inch or so of the light fluffy kind early tomorrow morning.

thanks for the updates Max!

There is a Winter Weather Advisory for areas east of us, but not for the immediate MAPSO area.

Cold dry air will cause light fluffy snow, so although the amount of QPF (water) falling tonight has not changed (in fact, the forecast is a little lower now than from yesterday) the snow will stack higher, so we could measure 1 - 2" by early morning.

Otherwise, forecast on track as per above.

Light snow now exiting our area. Treated surfaces appear clear, but watch for slick spots.

Snow ending this morning giving way to a dry cold day.

doesn't look too bad over W.O.'s way.

The only question now is whether I can still wear shorts today.

Just got back from removing as much snow as possible from front entrance and sidewalk. Snow is very light but sticking to the sidewalk. I removed the surface snow and will let the sun do the rest. Estimate less than an inch. Street (Courter) looks very icy. Be careful if you are driving early.
