Maplewood Porchfest Update

Well, weather is looking a little iffy for Sunday : ( .

We remain hopeful and will make the call on Sunday BY 9AM to postpone until Monday.

If we do use the rain date, the schedule should be exactly the same except a day later. We will post any changes, on MOL as well as on on the Maplewood Porchfest FB page

Due to weather related conditions, Maplewood Porchfest will take place on Monday September 4.  Everything will pretty much remain the same, just a day later. Any changes will be posted here.  Looking forward to a great day tomorrow!

Good call.  No point in "singing in the rain" without Gene Kelly.

What's the best news about postponing to a rain date? MORE LEMONADE STANDS! We are hearing about Hilton kids selling all along the Porchfest route. A walk with friends, great music, and lemonade on a sunny day...life is good.

If you do have a little something more to give:
* Buy a delicious snack from the Porchfest FUNDRAISER BAKE SALE on wheels from our cycling volunteers! Proceeds help defray some of our costs.
* Don't forget to TIP YOUR BANDS - they certainly earned it : )
* Bring CANNED FOOD/DRY GOODS for hungry seniors; boxes will be at several porches along the route.

Hit up Maplewood Porchfest on FB for latest info.

What a great afternoon. Thanks to all the awesome talent, and to the hard-working organizers and hospitable hosts!

Well done!  I'm glad you had a rain date - weather was perfect.

The values of the houses in Hilton just went up 10%. Great event. I can't wait till next year.

Fantastic event!  Great music.  Great vibe.  Thank you to all the organizers and musicians.  I hope it becomes another wonderful Maplewood tradition.  If there's a contact person for this event, I'd volunteer to help next year.  Lemme know.

Wow, what an amazing day thanks to the volunteers, bands, porch owners, Maplewood Community Music, Hilton Neighborhood Association, Vic DeLuca, Julie Weinberg, and all of our awesome attendees. Special thanks to Jamie for pinning this thread.   It might be too early to speculate on next year just yet, but Jeff L we have your name on file  cheese
