Fastest way to get expired U.S. passport renewed? (URGENT)

Any suggestions? The passport expired this past Feb - I've been putting off renewing but now need to get it done by mid-next week (even if it costs the "big bucks"). Any suggestions are greatly needed (including locations in NYC since I'm heading in there today).

Thanks!

They can do a passport while you wait I believe. Call for an appointment. The number is in the link.

What Mr. Incredibe said. New York office. We did this for my mom. 3 days from application to delivery.

Though IIRC, if you need it immediately you may be asked to provide an itinerary. So just have that available when you apply.

I used these guys once when my passport hadn't expired, but was expiring soon (within 6 months) and we couldn't get a straight answer as to if the country I was going to (United Kingdom) cared or not (some countries will care if your passport expires within the amount of time you're able to be in the country without a visa).

I wanted next day, but since I wasn't actually travelling for a few days I think I ended up with two day service. There are ways to do it without a service, but I wasn't able to work out how to successfully navigate them at the time. The service at least was very straightforward.

I'd recommend these folks.

I've used them twice- both times with less than 9 days before traveling (don't ask).

You'll need a travel itinerary and the renewal form filled out and it'll cost you some bucks, but they're good and they walk you through the process. To speed the process you can get your package 'validated' at the passport office in Westfield on North Ave.

They're very efficient as well. They'll suggest that you go through them to expedite it but that hasn't ever worked for me. The NY office works best with an appointment and even then there will be a wait.

Good luck
