Ellen DeGeneres and Dubya

So what do people think about this kerfuffle?

IMO, Ellen completely misses the point (queue Dave Schmidt)

It's not a question of being friends with people who have "different opinions".

It's a question of being friends with a war criminal. His corrupt decisions caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. His corrupt decisions mainstreamed torture as the preferred policy of the USA.

This is not a "difference of opinion".

She's either very naive or just being very disingenuous, but I've lost a lot of respect for her over this.

I'm thoroughly disgusted. Bush is a war criminal and should be in jail.   She should not be normalizing him.

*Contains offensive language.

A point followed by a synonym for a line. I love a good geometry pun.

he misses the point too.

I think both Ellen and Michelle recognize the inherent goodness in Bush. He was incompetent as President, which is inexcusable, but I believe that he thought he was doing the right thing in Iraq. Same for Colin Powell.

The real villain is Cheney.

Voted for Gore and Kerry, BTW.

Bring it on. Explain why he’s evil and a war criminal.
