What is a bullet vote?
It's when you only vote for a single candidate. In this election, there are 3 seats and 4 candidates. The top 3 vote getters win, so if you are supporting Nureed, any votes for her opponents, ultimately count against her mathematically.
People should know that you CAN vote for 1, 2 or 3 out of the 4 candidates running, in any combination.
Voted! Hope she gets a spot. I liked her at the debate. I wish Emily Hynes had decided to run as well.
I wish I had done a bullet vote. My logic was to eliminate the candidate that I least wanted as well as chose Ms. Saeed.
Ah well. How soon will we find out?
Wonder what district that was that was just counted - Saeed was trailing Schnall and she just took a big lead over Scnhall. That district was a biggie (Newstead?)
Nureed is down by 16 votes with one district to go. ( district 9)
Nureed is down 22 with one district to go on this site: http://www.essexclerk.com/Elec...
22 votes separating the 3rd and 4th place candidates. Is there a recount provision or requirement when it's that close?

This shows Saeed 22 votes behind with 11 out of 12 districts counted. Or is this the final?
The link shows the vote not completely counted. The 22 differential is the same number posted at 10 last night.
Just 12. 11 have reported.
Looks like a fairly lame turnout. Does anyone know how this compares historically?

This is where I got the number 13, but I see there is no district 5. Kind of a reversal on the concept that you never use number 13.

Congratulations to all. It is good for us to have an election with 4 good choices. I hope Ms. Saeed stays involved.
Yes but only 15% of eligible voters came out to cast their ballot. Apparently the results were delayed because district 9 ran out of paper to print their results?
This can't be true. Is it? WTF?

So do we have results now?
I hate poor turnout. I expected more in this political climate.

Having recently reviewed the campaign materials and always following events in local government, I have decided that the best thing I can do for the Village in tomorrow's election is to cast a bullet vote for Ms. Nureed Saeed. I hope that those who wish the best for the Village do the same.
