Rail service remains suspended in and out NYPS due to a derailed Amtrak train in NYPS. MidTown Direct trains are being diverted to Hoboken Terminal.

Just got a NotifyNYC notice that NJT service will resume at Penn at 4PM.

NJT site says Midtown Direct will still operate out of Hoboken, though.

Any intel on how Hoboken is? I'm planning to take the 5:01 from there.

I'm at Hoboken now. Pretty tolerable at the moment, but I'm sure it will get more hectic as rush hour really arrives.

....and just as I posted that last message, the hordes moved in and now we're packed in like sardines.

You have the option of main line from Penn Station to Newark Penn if someone can pick you up!

I'm blessed that I don't have to do the commute much anymore, but I hated "going through Hoboken!"
