Day 3 of no AC...local spots to take kids tomorrow to load up on cool AC?

They're coming to fix the air next week, but til then...any suggestions for local spots to catch a cool breeze indoors tomorrow? The kid is too young for the movies, so you might see me circling the aisles at Target all day otherwise. Thanks for any suggestions. Blarg.

Read a book at a bookstore, maybe?

Livingston mall? Has little kids play area and other little cars and such that kids can play in.

Liberty science center? Early on a weekend morning it's pretty calm. Gets busy later in day.

Library? I think maplewood library has a story time tomorrow.

Trailside nature center open 12-5 I think.

Yes! These are amazing ideas and my sweat-logged foggy brain thanks you all! Seriously.

We used to spend many a dreary day, whether too hot or too cold at Barnes and Noble. It has the cafe and you can read (look at pictures) all you want.

If you are willing to take the ride. They had put in a free water playground in Scotch Plains. I don't know how far off rt 22 it is. I have to look it up.

i knew someone that took her 2.5 year old and said it was fine...its about 25 minutes taking 78.

If you have the money and the room to store it, consider getting a small window air conditioner...and when the central goes out, you can just cool the smallest room and camp out in there.

The McDonald's on Vauxhall Road, off the Parkway, has a playground.

Livingston Mall for sure. Playspace, Barnes & Noble, food court...

Maplewood Library has a lecture today at 11:00 am at the main library celebrating the anniversary of the Nancy Drew books. Not sure if this would be of interest to very young children.

The library story time I was thinking of is actually tomorrow (Sunday) and outside.
