Covid-19 Question re: Post Office

I need to mail some items and was wondering if anyone has been to the Maplewood Post Office.  I pre-paid and printed my shipping label to reduce the amount of time I would need to spend there.  Have there been long wait times?  Are they practicing social distancing?

I was there a few days ago.  They are practicing social distancing.  There were very few people there so there wasn't a long wait.

 The Post Office is open regular days and hours, the clerks are extra helpful and there are no long wait lines.  There is a sign on the door specifying social distancing.  if you prepay and print your own labels you can just leave the package without standing in line.

Here's a secret but don't tell anyone else. If you go to the post office on Springfield Avenue, near the library, there is usually no line or a short line.

I was at the post office this morning to mail a letter.  One other person was there and we successfully practiced social distancing.  If you don't need to see a post office employee, try getting to the post office really early.  Lobby area opens at 7:00 am week days.  I prefer the main post office to Springfield Avenue because it is a bigger space.  It is very hard to maintain social distancing from anyone at the Springfield Avenue post office.

Was there this afternoon. Only one person in line.

The way the sidewalk is on Maplewood Avenue, you could easily start a line and only one person goes in at a time. Personally, if I think something weighs more than a regular letter stamp would cover, lately I’ve just been throwing another stamp on and taking it to a drive up box. But I have not had any packages to mail. Yet.
