Congratulations.

Congratulations, Citizen!

Congratulations, Fellow American!

You beat me to it! Congrats, mate!

Congrats.  Is there a date on the letter anywhere?   When my dad died I had to go through his drawers full of old bills but mixed in were some important documents.   I found papers for my great grandfather who had immigrated from Ayrshire Scotland to Ayrshire Indiana.  Included with these documents was his naturalization citizen paper from Illinois dated in the late 1800s.  I like that President Biden notes that we are a nation of immigrants.

Just to add to the nation of immigrants thought:  Yes, the US early settlers found people already here and because of greed and hatred, they conquered these Native Americans.  The same with slavery.  Greedy hateful bastards enslaved Africans in order to enrich themselves.  This hateful history still lives with us today.  We as a nation have to find ways to do justice and end this hate.

My son alerted me about Yale University doing free online classes that anyone can watch.  I am now watching the series by history professor Timothy Snyder and the subject is Ukraine as a modern nation.  He gives lots of helpful insights on what is a "nation" and what is the genesis of nations.   One of the fundamentals of a nation is to have a "story."   Ukraine certainly has a story.   The US has lots of stories and one is that we are a "nation of immigrants."   So, congrats again to Jonesey.

no date on the letter, but you get a certificate with your id picture on which is dated.

I made some red white and blue food for the party my neighbours threw. Sorry, 'neighbors', as we US types say.
