CHS Marching Band and drumline recruiting!
It was fabulous for my kid, too. Esprit de corps and all that. And the corps was a rainbow.
P.S. I wish marching band would do Motown or Sly and the Family Stone one year.
I had taken piano and clarinet in elementary/middle school. Ended up in my high school marching band in the drum line. It was great and they really did teach me everything I needed to know. Just a push for anyone who might be thinking about trying something new

Hi,
The Columbia High School Marching Band is still looking for members! In particular, we have a position in the drumline we are looking to fill immediately but we are accepting members in all sections!
Students must be a resident of Maplewood or South Orange and should be in 8th-12th grade. Band camp is required and is the last week of August (24-28).
For those interested in playing percussion or keyboard, no experience is necessary. It's a great chance to learn a new instrument!
We are also looking for performers in the color guard.
