Come see us at Maplewoodstock, too! We are excited for the kids in SO and Maplewood -- this is a great honor and opportunity. Please support or just talk it up!!!
My incoming 9th grader wants to know if she could join the drama club and be able to go?
Hi -- Yes, inscoming frehman (sorry-cat and keyboard combined today) are welcome to become involved. Message and I'll send you in the right direction.
Summit High School has done this twice already and is probably going to go next year also. (So far they've gone every other year.) They pick a play where it can be cast from those with the means to pay their way (as opposed to the regular school productions where casting is open and there are no scenery or prop limitations) then provide several performances of it prior to their leaving for general fundraising.
I will be proud to say our talented Columbia High students were invited to this well-known festival too!
I would think CHS would want to make this opportunity available to all members cast regardless of ability to pay. Maybe a benefit performance in conjunction with some of our local professional actors, much like the series of concerts CHSMPA did years back
The fundraising goal is ambitious, but we have a lot of ideas brewing -- and a year to raise the money. We agree that money should not be a kid's obstacle and we are committed to to making this possible. Fingers crossed....
For the first time, Columbia High School students have been invited to perform at the world-famous Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August, 2016. We are hard at work raising funds to defray the costs of our travel, and we appreciate all the help!
Columbia High School is proud of us and we are excited to represent our school, our district and our communities on the world stage.
Any amount you can donate helps and we thank you!
