Christie Endorses Trump for Prez: Bottom Feeders Unite

Cruz has brought Fat Tony Salerno into the mix...apparently Trump has had business with him...where does this craziness end?

...not that I'm complaining.

And then there is former Governor Whitman who said she would vote for Clinton over Trump if it comes to that.  So, not all reason has left the room.

I believe that one of her ancestor's was a Delegate at the very first Republican National Convention. It may be up to the Republican Aristocracy to save the Republican Party.

Imagine if Barbara Bush took the same position as Whitman. Imagine if he entire Bush Family, including two former Presidents did so.

Roy Cohn was not famous for being a "Mob" lawyer.

Well maybe it depends on how one defines "Mob".

Delegates are picked by primary voters.

So you're OK with the elite, an aristocracy, to override the people when it conveniently meets your desire or need?

Not when it "meets my desire or need", when it prevents Fascism. But what I am asking is that the "aristocracy" appeal to the voters.

Now from the Chairperson of Chris Christie's Campaign Finance Committe:

That's what I was thinking too - that it would be good for responsible Republicans to take a stand against Trump - not that the will of the voters should be overridden.

Weeks ago I linked an article calling Trump a "Fascist" and someone said it was "mud slinging".

They've been upsetting our peace and prosperity for years. This is just a continuation of the same old GOP/TEA party show.

I'm sick of these constant debacles, these constant aggravations. The budget debacles, the debt ceiling debacles, the government shutdown debacles, the we'll undo the Iran deal bs, the we'll undo the Paris climate accord bs.

Its ugly. It has hurt us and its hurt our standing and respect in the world.

Who in their right mind trusts and wants to do deals with a country when the congress and presidential candidates promise to undo them after election.

Half of the people will vote for him automatically. Every time.

The road to Fascism:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-neiwert/trump-may-not-be-a-fascist-but_b_8973768.html

Interesting article.

But the following needs clarification

Fascists have, in the past, always relied upon an independent, movement-driven paramilitary force capable of enacting various forms of thuggery on their opponents (as in the Italian Blackshirts, aka the Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale, and the German Brownshirts, the Sturmabteilung). Trump, however, has no such force at his disposal.
...
A serious fascist would have called upon not just the crowd to respond with violence, but also his paramilitary allies to respond with retaliatory strikes. Trump didn't do that.

This is the new internet age. Brown shirts, black shirts are not needed. You can use the internet to bully and threaten. Its really very effective:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/27/us/politics/donald-trump.html

Cheri Jacobus, a Republican political strategist, did not think she had done anything out of the ordinary: On a cable television show, she criticized Donald J. Trump for skipping a debate in Iowa in late January and described him as a “bad debater.”
But then Mr. Trump took to Twitter, repeatedly branding Ms. Jacobus as a disappointed job seeker who had begged to work for his campaign and had been rejected. “We said no and she went hostile,” he wrote. “A real dummy!” Mr. Trump’s campaign manager told the same story on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Mr. Trump’s Twitter followers, who number about six million, piled on. For days, they replied to his posts with demeaning, often sexually charged insults aimed at Ms. Jacobus, including several with altered, vulgar photographs of her face.
With his enormous online platform, Mr. Trump has badgered and humiliated those who have dared to cross him during the presidential race. He has latched onto their vulnerabilities, mocking their physical characteristics, personality quirks and, sometimes, their professional setbacks. He has made statements, like his claims about Ms. Jacobus, that have later been exposed as false or deceptive — only after they have ricocheted across the Internet.
It is not just that Mr. Trump has a skill for zeroing in on an individual’s soft spot and hammering at it. It is that he sets a tone of aggression against the person, and his supporters echo and amplify it.
...
As Mr. Trump has risen in the Republican race, he has only dialed up his tactics. This week, he sent out a menacing message on Twitter about the Ricketts family, a wealthy clan of Republican political donors, after it was reported that Marlene Ricketts donated $3 million to a group opposed to Mr. Trump’s candidacy.
“They better be careful,” Mr. Trump wrote of the family, “they have a lot to hide!”
“It’s a little surreal when Donald Trump threatens your mom,” Marlene Ricketts’s son, Tom, later told reporters.
Others say Mr. Trump’s actions go beyond the outlandish and cross into more sinister territory. Parry Aftab, a lawyer who leads the Internet safety group WiredSafety, said Mr. Trump’s behavior was a textbook example of cyberbullying.

Now in Anaheim there has been a stabbing at a KKK rally. Great. Trump dissects, trashes and disrupts our nation like an ax murderer.

So now Trump is claiming he has never heard of the KKK.  Sounds like he wants to keep David Duke's endorsement.  And I guess our wonderful governor is still fine with that.  Nice.

It's no surprise that the Republican Party is self-destructing after decades of their antics -- there could have been no other outcome.  And I don't mind at all....except that they're going to take the rest of us down with them.

Regarding the statements above that fascists rely on "paramilitary allies to respond with retaliatory strikes. Trump didn't do that."  No, Trump doesn't directly do anything.  He incites people and then stands back with his hands up and says "who, me?"  The anarchists in this country have been praying for someone like him to fulfill their mission of destroying this country.

Precisely. Stupid jingoistic. Trump is all excited about 30,000 people in his crowd in Huntsville, Ala. Bernie had that back in NH last month.

Are you watching this jerk on cable in ALA?

Trump has 32,000 people in a stadium in Huntsville, ALA, he's talking  nonsense. He's interrupting himself, being defensive, just yakking.

A friend just sent me this:

I was wondering how long Christie would hang around.....just like where the heck did Sarah Palin go after she endorsed Trump?

Darn, the only enjoyable part of this was watching Christie follow Trump around like a little puppy dog.

#MakeDonaldDrumpfAgain is trending!!  AWESOME John Oliver show:

I noticed that Meg Whitman, formerly a major supporter of Christie, called his endorsement shamelessly opportunistic.

And the other Whitman,  Christie,  said she would vote for Clinton over Trump.

Watch this.

Do you think he wrote that in defense of vulgar nativism?
