Christie beats Springsteen archived

Hilarious. Forget Obama, Christie does have a brocrush on the Boss.

John, you just have too much time on your hands. Really.

What's for dinner tonight?

People actually get paid to write this stuff. It's actually their job. Can you believe that?

but how would Christie do against Lady Gaga?

Max, it's hilarious. I just happened to read it on nj.com and thought I'd share. Lighten up Francis! :-D

Christie has 310,000 Twitter followers. Lady Gaga has 31.6 million.

I think "hilarious" is another of those words that doesn't mean what you think it means.

horse*****, if you don't think a poll running Christie vs Springsteen is funny you don't have a sense of humor or can't bear a Republican winning anything, no matter how silly.

Yes, I'd say it's part b.

Pathetic and amusing at the same time.

Well, most Springsteen fans know that he wouldn't be interested in an elective office.

Now, if the poll was, "Who would you like to help crowd-surf", there might be a different result!

Oh, I get it... Because Christie is large... Right? ... Yeah that's hilarious ( note sarcasm) why don't all of you making fun of Christie being large please post your picture here? You know, so we can judge your looks too.

I was following along with the thread's originator -

At least, I thought he was asking people to make jokey comments.

Of course, I could be wrong ...

GOP pols keep getting snubbed, in one way or another, by rock 'n rollers, whether it's playing their tunes w/o permission or outright denunciation. If you're in the GOP you're kinda stuck with either country music or assorted wack jobs like Nugent or Kid Rock. Sorry. It goes with the territory. Tom Joad ain't no Republican.

But...but...what's for dinner?

Pollsters gotta poll.

actually because I have a sense of humor, I know the difference between "hilarious" and "amusing."

the Christie story is amusing. now this is hilarious:

Yeah, Tom Joad didn't spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for horses for his daughter either! Or take advantage of a farm tax loophole to save tens of thousands of dollars on his Colts Neck estate either.

Aww... Did someone say nasty things about your widdle friend?

Nope, I just enjoy pointing out hypocrites. I hold Christie Whitman in the same regard for her Tewksbury farm. I have a friend who does this in Far Hills on his 15 acre home. The big difference is Springsteen's populist persona, while he's just another taxpayer using a tax loophole. If he wasn't so sanctimonious about others paying their fair share I'd not comment.

Another typical limousine liberal.

So, Mr. JL starts the thread and invites joking comments, and then goes all non sequitur with some other topic which could invite some contribution of actual facts, but it's not worth it here.

Anyway, in light of the fact that Mr. JL himself turned his jokey thread into some manufactured outraged thread -

Not impressed.

Happy Holidays everybody!

Nah, it was first an insult at me, then a fat joke on Christie that set Sly off, and I just took it from there.

Once again, you myopic refs miss the first foul, and focus on the followup. Of course, you didn't really miss the first foul, you just ignored it.

Carry on, lol.

here's the thing -- you posted a link and promised hilarity. this is a discerning crowd. you promise hilarity, you need to deliver. you didn't. heckling ensued. that's the risk you take when you attempt comedy and fail.

"Discerning crowd"?

Now THAT'S hilarious!

question

Now that Vacanulo who waved his mock superiority of the MOL crowd with regularity has officially left the district..........I see he has been replaced, by another out of the area contributor.

I'm out of the area as well. There are no rules stating one must live in M/SO, are there? I'm not a fan of Sly's posts but she has every right to post them.
