Great actor and all-around bad ***.
He was an actor's actor.
Actress Shirley Knight, 83. I know I’ve seen her in a bunch of stuff, but can’t recall right now. “Sweet Bird of Youth” I thought.
Just announced on WNYC: Richard Hake, 51, morning host and news reporter. Cause unknown.

Not yet confirmed. But highly likely.

I’ve been listening to Tony Allen since I read the news (before Dave posted), he influenced so many and left such a rich legacy.
We’ve lost another talent: Florian Schneider, of Kraftwerk fame.

Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano Rosalind Elias passed away. Just saw it in yesterday's NYTimes. She was 90 years old. I remember her from the 60s - she was so alive and vital in any role she performed.
The originator, along with Chuck Berry and countless unknown others lost to history. R.I.P. Little...

He had himself a good life. To remain active as old as he was, and to perform with his family so much was a blessing. He was a true institution.
Fred Willard, 86. A favorite starting with Fernwood 2Night and running all the way through this final season of Modern Family.

Aw crap.
We were fans of Modern Family from beginning to end. My favorite character was Phil. Fred Willard played his dad to perfection... nobody else could have brought that character to life in such a way that you completely understood Phil's positive demeanor.
The last episode Willard was in got me in the feels SO hard.
