Boat warming present?

Any great ideas for a modest birthday present for someone who just bought a sailboat? This is not the skipper's first boat.

No.  He should be buying you the present.    Seriously...when he invites you onto the boat, bring an amazing spread of antipasto.  That's what I do, and it always goes over VERY well.

@Jackson Fusion those wineglasses are so cool!

Time is short so I may resort to a West Marine gift card.

I would look for a Sailing related book at Words. These are two that are not necessarily already on every sailor's reading list:

"The God Forsaken Sea" It's about a single handed around the world race. The criticisms I've seen is that the sailing details make it hard for non-sailors to read. As a sailor, I loved it and learned from it.

"This Book is Drunk" This one is a memoir of a guy who single handed a Sunfish from Miami to Boston in the 70s and partied on shore along the way. It's not a serious book, but again, a sailor should enjoy the adventure of it and it's not likely he already has read it.

The other solution is to never ever put your drink down til it’s empty cheese

What ever you do not buy them or get on the boat with a banana!!!

Are you allowed to sing or play the Banana Boat Song?

 grrr

I didn't want to say anything, but I've never seen anyone use stemmed wine glasses on a boat, and I'm not convinced that product is an improvement over the current solutions, which are either not putting your cup down, or using a cup that fits in a cup holder and has a lid. Stemmed wine glasses are for landlubbers!

The banana superstition is only for fishing.

I have spent my life as a land lubber, but if I had a boat, I would not mind a set of personalized/monogrammed Tervis tumblers. They really do keep drinks cold, and I am told they keep hot drinks nice and toasty, too. Best of both worlds.
