Black History Month in Maplewood

Putting this here.  I don't want to start a new thread.  Call this NHL meets Black History Month.

To begin with, last night's Ranger game was a wild affair with the Rangers winning in the 9th frame of the
second overtime shootout. Also, Ranger goalie was yanked for concussion protocol with 40 seconds left in the first OT but returned for the shootout. I ever saw anything like that before.

Anyway, in connection with BHM, they mentioned that Rangers veteran enforcer, Ryan Reeves, is the great great grandson of Bass Reeves, a black law enforcement officer in the wild west. I actually read about this guy before. He may have been the toughest, most feared law guy of the west:

An additional nice touch for BHM is that the Rangers other black player, young defenseman K'Andre Miller, scored the aforementioned game winning 2nd OT shootout goal.
