Because I have Facebook friends in Texas and Oklahoma, I see things like this... archived

And, that picture reminds me of a song lyric -

Woke up election day
Sky's gunpowder and shades of grey
Beneath the dirty sun
I whistle my time away
Then just about sun down
You come walkin' through town
Your boot heels clickin' like
The barrel of a pistol spinnin' round

- Bruce Springsteen, "Livin' In The Future".

OMG! Are those real hooves? Why?!?!

Those boots were definitely not made for walking.

Really funny! and horrible at the same time!

I don't think they are boots. "Mules" would be a more correct answer... [ba-dum-bump]

But the same people build really cool stuff.

Is that a three-pack of rocket launchers on the top?

Ridiculous! As soon as he fired one, it would burn his beard off!

Nope, intakes. It seconds as a really efficient leaf blower too!

Can't imagine trying to turn that thing, though.

Please define 'efficient'.

Hmmm, take the multi-tooth flat piece of metal, insert into slot marked ignition. Now twist flat multi-toothed piece of metal counter-clockwise until thunderous roar is heard and maintained.

Extremely loud and fun to drive.

That makes the engine run. How the heck do you turn it?

Does it have a name? Maybe I can see it in action.

I've seen others quite like it at tractor pulls (you'll see them at the Sussex County Fair from time to time). They put out an incredible amount of torque.

Oh, and you steer it by the protruding pieces of metal the rider is grabbing with his hands. :-D
I've seen a few that are steered by extra linkages, not direct steer. It's kind of hard to tell by the picture, but I think that is probably the case.

Like a Green Machine?

Actually, the shoes were created by a German artist:

I can believe that they put out a huge amount of torque, but with two wheels sticking so far out the front, and no real lean that I can see, I can only imagine it having a decent turning radius at high speed, and then, maybe.

From the angle of the picture, it looks like he's riding it down the middle of the road, too. I'm starting to wonder if this isn't just an idiot who built a vehicle he can't even ride properly.

In other words, that's not a bike...

THIS IS A BIKE.

No it's not. It's a trike. That's all that need be said.

Looks to me like something a man rides when he needs to compensate for something.....

Let's get back to the shoes people. Seriously now. :-D

Wouldn't bootleggers wear shoes like that to cover their tracks to the still?

Are we sure that isn't Sarah Jessica Parker in the OP?
