first - you'd get better feedback if you mentioned home insurance in the title.
I've had mine for awhile and have been pretty happy with it - and I think it was still cheaper then if I tried bundling in with my car insurance:
Their coverage and response has always been pretty good:
I have State Farm for my home with a local agent. I am not pleased with either State Farm or the agent.
However, I lack the motivation to research other options.
Bundled car/homeowners with AAA and saved quite a bit. And better coverage than I'd had previously.
I bundled my car insurance with home insurance through NJ Manufacturers. I've always been pleased with NJM with autos, haven't had occasion to use it for home insurance yet. 800-232-6600.
We had Travelers Home Insurance 2009-2019. They were great. We had fairly extensive water damage at one point and they were absolutely terrific in their handling of the claim.
Our agent was Wendy at Lawley Insurance in Florham Park. She was available and helpful.
Hi folks,
Thanks for your time and thoughts.
Some years ago we had a fire and felt that we were treated rather well by our comp. and the firm that caused it. I was so pleased I rec'd them to F&F. One guy had already checked them out (based on what he heard from me) before I suggested it- and had moved there.
Recently this comp has become a very "me too" insurer. Our current policy expires in a few weeks so I'm starting the process. Last time friend and I talked I asked if he was still with them. He had moved on because USAA(?)-the veterans group that advertises on TV) gave them a better deal. I'm not a veteran so I'm looking for others experience.
I don't want to say too much so as to not channel folks thinking here.
Thanks again for these and additional insights and experiences.
Had State Farm when I bought the house, never liked them. I don’t care what jake is wearing at 3 am either.
been with progressive for the past 11 years, I’m comfortable with them. Bundle with auto insurance and the price was right. I’m now at “emerald” status whatever that means. But I just don’t feel like looking for another insurance company, it’s one of those things you just pay automatically.
I honestly don’t know which insurance company is best. All state was expensive when I was looking to switch a decade ago.

I'm with you on this. SF was not a good neighbor after Sandy. We switched as soon as we could.
I've used Chubb and have had good experiences with them. Bought it through KRA.
They have handled 2 major claims, the first was during Sandy when an enormous tree crashed onto my roof. The repairs involved an octagonal slate roof, a 23' domed ceiling, a completely toppled chimney and a stained glass window!
The next was a neighbor's tree crashing the slate roof of a 3 car garage, there are pictures of that fiasco on MOL.
I didn't bundle and perhaps I should have although Geico was cheaper but I wonder if I would have fared better on the car damage that was parked in the crashed garage. Although the car was pristine with low mileage, the age determined the small amount I got for repairs so I'm driving a completely dented car, but the house and garage look splendid. Priorities.
My folks have had New Jersey Manufacturers home insurance for decades and have always been satisfied with the service received, which included a claim for a tree that fell on the house in Hurricane Irene and subsequent damage caused when it was removed. I now have my car insurance with them too and was happy with how they handled the one claim I've had (for a windshield cracked by a flying rock on Rt 95).
