Appliance repair for a Speed Queen dryer?

Need this asap because the flame ain't working.

Have always used George's in New Providence, and have always been pleased.

Every time I see a post looking for an appliance repair person, I always recommend Larry of Astre Appliance Tech. So far I've never heard anything but good reviews afterward. Larry has done repairs for me on and off for 25 years or more, including fridge, stove, washer, dryer and dishwasher. (908) 272-7744 or (908) 273-4166

Caveats - Larry is only certified for American brand appliances (no LG or Samsung, etc.)  Also he covers the area around Union/Maplewood/Oranges/Millburn and farther south. I'm not sure how big his area is but I know that someone (farther north) once posted that they called Astre and got someone different who wasn't very good.

If it blows air and tumbles but does not heat up, the first thing to check before calling in a repair person is a clogged duct or exhaust.  When we moved in our home came with an old Maytag that would not ignite.  The lint collector seemed okay, but the vent was jam packed with lint and apparently it had a safety feature where it wouldn't heat up due to fire risks.

With our current dryer I clean out the lint collector EVERY LOAD and yet when I cleaned out the inside and the tube with a dryer exhaust brush there was still a ton of stuff jammed in there.  I've also heard of people finding socks or other things jammed in there that block the air flow and prevent it from igniting.

Norman's Appliance Repair.

The BEST. Period.
