Cool. I guess they'll be able to easily switch to a general public store as soon as Trenton figures things out.

Pretty sure that's their business model.

Puntastic.

To be blunt, it does look like a nice joint.

Whoever’s the exterminator they use, he’s good, considering he can not use a leaf blower.... floor is spotless. Not one mosquito!! The roaches suffered collateral damage? That would make me sad..

--- yeah, but they don't have a section to do your nails.

Did Mpl. or S.O. pass laws to prohibit a joint store in our pristine municipalities? Those kinds of places attract the wrong kind of people, like me.

So you're going to the Grand Opening?  They may have music.

This classic documentary should be required viewing for anyone choosing to imbibe.

And tell your children.

There is a very entertaining musical version -

That's right, "Maplewood" with a capital "M" and that stands for Mary Jane.

A couple of years ago my husband and I were on a Viking Cruise in the Netherlands and Belgium that included a bus trip to the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens as part of the tour while we were docked in Amsterdam.  We were sitting near the front of the bus talking to the driver and our tour leader and somehow got onto the subject of puns.  The tour leader was British and the driver was Dutch (but spoke beautiful English.)  We asked the tour leader if the Brits had puns or if that was an American thing and he said something like "Oh, we invented them!".  Then the Dutch driver wanted to know what a pun is, as she wasn't familiar with that English word.  We were trying to explain it and realized that we really just needed a good example but couldn't come up with any.  (Have you ever tried to explain the meaning of pun without an example???)

A few minutes later I was on Facebook on my phone.  I saw a post perhaps from Sheena Collum or someone quoting her, that said something about how there was consideration being given to a "joint resolution" from the two towns to Trenton about the marijuana legislation then being discussed.  I read it aloud to the bus driver and said something like - now here is a good example of a pun.  She immediately understood (what Amsterdam denizen wouldn't?) and said that, yes, the Dutch also had puns.  (I don't remember their word for it, though.)

Puns exist in most languages, not always as jokes.  They are used extensively in the Hebrew bible, for example, in both poetry and prose, to show relationships between concepts.

One example.  Isaac (יצחק) puns with tzachak 'to laugh' (צחק).  Remember, Abraham names Isaac after he and Sarah laugh at the angels.
