Anyone with child who will be 2 1/2 this January?

Our daughter will be two in late June, so she's too young for the pre-school circuit this fall. Trying to find others in the same position who might be interested in a 2 1/2 year old pre-school option in Maplewood starting in January 2016. Feel free to post and I will pm you for more details. Thanks!

We have a 2 year old come July in SO, would consider a good option that has long hours (we both work in NYC)

Not sure if you're looking for suggestions, but there are several pre-schools that have a January-start class for kids your child's age. Off the top of my head, Open Door, Mickey Fried and Weekday do this. There are probably others.

Yes, Mickey Fried Pre-school at Oheb Shalom congregation will accommodate you. You do NOT have to be Jewish to go there. Our daughter thrived there. The teachers are very loving and fun!

Anne, what are the hours/cost involved with Oheb?

All of the information is on the registration form, with a link on this website. For the first time, full extended day options are being offered (with partial weeks possible), although the longer day may only be for the 3 and 4 year olds if I'm reading the form correctly.

My experience is a few years old, but I will agree with all of those who love the school.

I'll put a plug in for the Y, as they have programs for kids from 6 weeks old through to (but not including) kindergarten, and their regular hours are 7AM-6PM (and to 7PM for an extra fee.)

Many folks seem to want a program that's exclusively a preschool or don't quite need that extended of a schedule. If neither of these are a must, then consider the Y...and put your name on the waitlist ASAP (and I'll assume there's a waitlist, since there usually is one.) :
