Anyone use Car Shield? Any good?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Car Shield?

I always thought those aftermarket home repair and car warranty repair deals were pretty much scams. The kind where you'd probably have to hire an attorney to get them to pay a claim. Are any of them legit or recommended? I bought a bogus one for a phone once so I might just be jaded by the bad experience 

For most people, they are useless. Not necessarily a ripoff but useless. If you bought a new car, put the premium $ in an escrow account and add, say $50 a month to it. When it reaches 2 or 3K, you can stop adding to the account.

You have peace of mind in case of a major repair or you have a large savings account.
