A (possibly) dumb question about cell phones

Is there an app which will silence my phone for x hours? I have a Samsung and I know there's a do not disturb thing inside of settings, but I gave up trying to understand how to use it when I hit the 4th screen of instructions.

I want an app where, after I press the icon, simply asks - "for how long?" and then quiets my phone for that period, waking it back up at the proper time.

Am I asking too much?

Timeriffic sets a schedule. I use it to turn off sound at night.

On a related note, how do I keep my ringer on, but silence everything else?  I turned off the keypad clicking noise, but don't know how to silence everything else without silencing the phone.  I hate playing games with noise (solitaire, Sudoku, etc) but I need to keep my ringer on at all time, and am forgetting to turn it back on when I put the phone down.  I have an iphone 7.

Most of the games have a settings button that turn off the sound. When the game is first opened, the options might be in one of the corners. Turn off the music and sound there.

A Faraday wallet/case would do the job.
