As usual, Joe's fellow scouts and scout leaders had no problems until the parents got involved. It's almost always the parents that screw things up.

You mean the parents of the other kids, right? This is sad. I hope they let him back in. The boy scouts FINALLY have been letting gay scouts participate. I hope they are not going to be jerks about this now.

Yes, parents of the other kids. Joe's mom has been incredibly supportive, as has his local school.
