Swim lessons with infant - help, how do I get dressed? archived

So I have a 10 month old infant and we're scheduled to start parent and child swim - first class for any child. My infant does not walk quite yet although trying and I'm not quite sure how to get us both dressed, etc.??? We'll be at the Summit Y, not that it makes much difference as any pool I'd still hve the same question. Ack, Help!

Make friend with someone & trade off getting dressed while the other person watches the kids or bring a stroller into locker room & dress kid first & strap 'em in & then get dressed

are you going tomorrow at 10am? I'll be there...

Change into your suits at home so you'll only have to change in the locker rooms once. Bring an extra swim diaper and suit just in case there's a accident on the way. For changing out of your wet suits, put an extra towel on the floor and plan on changing baby there (ackwardly). Also, bring a couple of plastic grocery bags, or even better jumbo zip locks, to throw the wet suits in so they don't get the rest of your stuff wet on the ride home. This is what I had to do last year at to manage our swim lessons at the Connection (with my 6 mos old).

Good luck!

been thinking about taking my 10 month old to a swim class. are they fun?
