“Adult” casual brunch place

Appreciate recommendations for an adult, casual brunch place for date Sunday.

Coda? Cassidy? South Mt Tavern?

Adult in sense of drink options and able to converse!

Thanks!

Hm. Coda has good options but can be noisy. There is a semi-separate room toward the back that's usually a little more sedate.

The South Mountain Tavern is no more, having been replaced by the Fox and Falcon (or Fozzie's Falcon as I like to call it). My one experience of the place is that it can be very loud. But that was at dinner time. Not sure about their brunch atmosphere.

Cassidy. I believe they have jazz starting at around noon.

it's late, but next time add Wineberries in Summit to your list.

VERJUS!!!!

It is surprising to me that no one has mentioned Verjus. It is quiet,  lovely and is (along with Lorena's) always listed by NJ Monthly as one of the 25 Best Restaurants in N.J. The brunch is my favorite!

I like Verjus, but still can't figure out how it makes the top 25.  Good but not  that good.

It's a matter of taste. Good for you, great and lovely for me.

The Cassidy is nice.  I wish they had a more extensive brunch menu, but we were able to find good stuff with the limited options on the menu.  Jazz and some good bloody marys made for a nice time.

postscript

Chose Cassidy...  music not too loud rather quiet, which was great for talking.

Enjoyed the food and beverages, however place was understaffed and the one server simply was inadequate. Do recommend and will return!
