On Sunday, March 12th, the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum, in partnership with the Indian American Association of Millburn-Short Hills, will host Holi Fest, a celebration of spring and the bright colors it brings, from 12 noon – 2:00 pm and 3:00 – 5:00 pm! Holi is a colorful and joyous tradition and celebrates truthfulness and the triumph of good over evil. Guests will enjoy a guided walk through the woods with an Arboretum naturalist, live Indian music and performances, Indian snacks and tea. Additionally, guests will get a sneak-peek at the Arboretum’s nearly-completed Stone House Nature Center! Joining the festivities on Sunday will be Miss NJ USA, Chhavi Verg, the second-ever Indian-American to win this prestigious contest. A strong proponent of women’s equality, empowerment and education, Ms. Verg will be on hand to meet and greet guests at the Arboretum from 12:00 – 12:30 pm and again from 3:00 – 3:30 pm.
