Edvard Munch, famous for four versions of The Scream, was a prolific Norwegian painter and printmaker. This talk will look at his fascinating and unconventional life—he was damaged by alcoholism, hallucinations, social isolation and paranoia—as well as his psychologically evocative paintings. His need to explore situations brimming with emotional content and expressive energy characterizes all of his astonishing work.
