Featuring: Scott Kettner, David Gastine, David Langlois, Ari Folman-Cohen, and Josh Kaye with special guest, Stephane Wrembel

In 1934, Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli created a unique sound with their band, “The Hot Club of France”. We have the privilege of having Django’s great-grandson at the show! Simba Baumgartner carries the heritage of the legendary master. His total virtuosity and lyricism allow for his poetic Gypsy soul to shine. He is a true continuation of the family lineage.
Although this is a festival celebrating the music of Django, it would not be complete without paying homage to the great, Stephane Grappelli. Very few violin players have mastered the techniques of Grappelli while still developing their own sound, like Daisy Castro. She is a unique and incredibly powerful voice in the violin world today. The two musicians will be backed up by five very special artists. Scott Kettner (from Maplewood) on drums is widely known as a master percussionist, bandleader, producer and songwriter. David Gastine on guitar is one of the great masters of the Gypsy rhythm guitar. He is a specialist of the traditional French Musette and swing songbooks. World-class master David Langlois will perform on washboard, Ari Folman-Cohen on bass, and Josh Kaye on rhythm guitar. These five compose one of the finest rhythm sections on Earth. This show cannot be missed!
